Type of Position
- COOPI is looking for a Knowledge management officer/ liaison with energy networks in the framework of a program on energy access in formal and informal settlements. Expected date of start of the program: May 2016
Main Tasks
- To ensure management of the activities of the project dealing with tools/training /manuals related to access to energy in displacement and coordination with the partners
- Networking activities with relevant initiatives & international networks dealing with energy access and humanitarian innovation
- Collaboration to the preparation of internal reports on activities and of interim and final reports for the donor
- Ensure coordination between the output produced in the framework of the project and the internal knowledge management system of the organization
- Ensure internal technical training in the organization among access to energy and innovation related issues
- Participation in the elaboration of new project proposals if required
Requirements
- Background studies in engineering or in international development with consistent studies in humanitarian crisis management
- Minimum 3 years relevant professional experience (of which at least 2 years in the field)
- Excellent knowledge of English (essential) Knowledge of French would be an asset
- Previous experience in access to energy related issues
- Previous experience as researcher (desirable)
- Very good capacity to interact with a wide variety of actors and of representing the organization at international networks
Personal skills: Good analytical skills; Capacity to interact with different actors (internal /external) at various levels; Capacity to work under stress; ability to communicate effectively and to motivate the team; results based approach
Duration of the assignment
Period: one year (renewable) starting from May 2016
